Bon Appetit
this place called Wurstkuche is right across the pie hole so if youre still not stuffed from pie go eat some sausages. why not?
So this was basically heaven for my dad and brother, beer & exotic sausages. Well i wouldn’t mind to have this in my heaven either. I had the duck & bacon with jalapeno peppers. It was juicy & packed with flavor just like what the menu promised. I had some bites of my brothers order of rattlesnake and rabbit and that people was pretty good i mean the mere fact your eating a rattlesnake who probably ate the rabbit is good enough for me to go to this place. the veggie italian was kind of weird tasting. it was good by all means but it tasted like some chunky tomato sauce with some unknown spices. It was dry but if your into that kind of thing go for it. I loved my order of duck & bacon so much that when it came down to tasting my dad’s  Rabbit, Veal & Pork Seasoned with White Wine sausage i was stuffed and only have a small memory of a  jolt of flavor besides the belgian fries with truffle glaze and dipping sauces of thai peanut  & tomato mayo occupied my taste buds and mind for most of the meal so sorry for barely remembering rabbit/veal/pork i bet you were super tasty!
i’ve realize now that my family has a thing for eating rabbits….
anyways, i want more. Sun Dried Tomato & Mozzarella - smoked chicken & turkey, Vegetarian Mexican Chipotle - chipotle, arbol chilles, garlic, and onions, Green Chillies & Cilantro - chicken & turkey….800 E 3rd St

the pie hole is the hippest & cutest little pie shop in the art district of downtown los angeles. I wanted to stay in that place just for ambiance. to the piesss: the mac & cheese was pretty bland and heavy on the crust. if you really like sugar the lemon meringue is right up your alley. the crust was a bit raw, but i still ate it. the strawberry pie was my favorite, it had tons of strawberry and a nice layer of thin crust. The carnitas pie was tasty like having an empanada but with thicker crust. all i’ll say is my mind wasn’t blown, but i’ll definitely come back for a taste of their other pies.

Joël Robuchon

Joël Robuchon located in Las Vegas, Nevada at the MGM Grand is the epitome of fine dining. Only logical having won a number of awards: AAA Five Diamond, Forbes Fine Star, Chef of the Century by Gault Millau in 1989.  You’ll leave the luxuriously decorated small french cuisine restaurant with your taste buds more than satisfied and guiltless about just how much money you spent.

Having made a reservation at nine at night and hadn’t eaten since morning I was starved and tired from the heat and shopping. Entering MGM, distracted by the crowds of Snookie and Pauly D look alikes and small kids standing in wonder didn’t make anything better. We walked past the corner of  Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill and entered through the huge elegant doorway. I was filled with happiness and a impression of elegance even though my dress was too tight from my days of gorging on donuts.

I quickly pulled out my brother’s digital Nikon camera and started attempting to take pictures of the extravagant bread trolley and most gorgeous dessert trolley I had ever seen. I was lucky enough to be with my food fanatic family of five including me so we all picked at each others plates to have explosions of  goodness in our mouths. We all were satisfied with having four to six course meals even though the sixteen course meal was tempting. The menu options included a bouche or palette cleanser, appetizer or soup, a main course, dessert, coffee or tea served with mignardises, or cheese.

By the end of the meal or meals, my family and from observing other diners the impression was pure satisfaction and awe of the realization of how french food can be soo good done right. Joël Robuchon offers culinary heaven. The food was beautifully presented and flavors were cohesive. Joy was added when given a gift bag of a pistachio with raspberries pound cake and booklet showcasing photos, menu, and bio of Robuchon. After I had no regret on just how much tighter my dress got. I continue to reminisce on my indulgence and hope to go back for the 16 course meal.

L’Amuse-bouche: Iced sphere of cilantro surrounded by gazpacho of red beet root with olive oil.

Unlimited amount of the most tasty french bread. Includes basil and rosemary bread. oh yum.

Les Mignardises^  I can’t explain the pure joy at the sight of those macarons. “S” sculpture made of chocolate!

Five star all the way. Everything was impeccably flavorful. Expect to stay there for more than two hours.
